This beautiful information kiosk unit was designed for Downtown Calgary for outdoor use. It is wheeled into the streets to do promotions and offer passersby tourist and event information.
The rear of the kiosk offers access with hinged panels to offer shade while they are open, but security at night as they can be locked. The front service window is a security window that can also be locked. Finally, it also makes use of LED lights which provide practical directional and non directional lighting.
A durable and mobile kiosk
It is a large unit, however it is built out of powder-coated aluminum on a tubular steel frame. The entire platform sits on heavy duty wheels to make it mobile and easy to move around. We make our kiosks this way so that they are light and strong, but also so that they can withstand the elements.
The paint is electrostatically applied in a process known as powder coating. The paint bonds to the surface ensuring an extremely durable coating that will keep the kiosk looking fresh for 10 plus years.
An effective information kiosk needs branding
Of course there is another benefit to using aluminum the way we do. Not only does it weather better than any other type of material, it also offers a smooth surface to be able to apply a vinyl graphics wrap.
