Outdoor poolside retail carts designed for hotels and resorts

This collection of poolside retail carts was custom designed for the Mission Valley Hilton in San Diego to turn pool areas into profitable guest service zones. The project included three specialized units: the Merchandise Retailer, the Hair Wrap Station, and the Towel Vendor. Each cart featured traditional styling, welded aluminum canopies with stretched rubberized canvas, and customizable finishes to match hotel branding.

Designed for outdoor use, these carts combined mobile flexibility with secure storage. Roll-down or flip-up locking systems protected merchandise after hours, while heavy-duty wheels ensured the carts could be easily moved as needed.

Project Objective

Design a set of poolside retail carts with:

  • Aluminum welded frames and canopies with rubberized canvas covers
  • Locking storage compartments and secure enclosures
  • Heavy-duty wheels for easy repositioning

Build Features

Merchandise Retailer: 6 x 6 foot cart with roll-down security doors, designed for hats, sunglasses, creams, pool toys, and souvenirs

Hair Wrap Station: RMU with four flip-up wooden sides for security, designed for hair accessories, wraps, and high-margin personal items

Towel Vendor: 8 x 8 foot cart with locking under-counter storage, electrical connections, lighting, and exterior adjustable shelving, designed for towels, robes, and slippers
