This custom retail merchandising unit (RMU) was designed for Richmond Centre as one of the first mall carts to incorporate a glass display window. The glass provided a secure product showcase on the customer-facing side, reducing theft risks while allowing the vendor to focus on sales at the point-of-sale counter.
Built with a wood-stained canopy, wood paneling, glass cases, and deep locking storage drawers, the unit combined warmth and security. It also featured multimedia upgrades, including a built-in LCD display, integrated security cameras, and optional internet connectivity for remote monitoring.
